The RCIPS is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 33-year-old Marcus Steve Manderson.

Manderson was found guilty on 2 December, 2022 (in absentia), following a Grand Court trial for Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm. Manderson had absconded Court bail and was believed to have left the Island via boat. Investigators strongly believe he recently returned to the Cayman Islands and is being housed by various persons in the community. He is due to be sentenced in January 2023.

Manderson is believed to be armed and dangerous. The police are advising that he should not be approached by members of the public, but instead to call 9-1-1 upon sighting him.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information about the whereabouts of this man to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222 or dial 9-1-1, specifically if the circumstances are time sensitive.

Manderson, having been convicted of a serious criminal offence, is considered to be a fugitive evading the criminal justice process.

The RCIPS is warning anyone who chooses to aid, assist or harbor him that this is a criminal offence, which may lead to a lengthy period of imprisonment, and we will investigate anyone who does so.
