Potential Tropical Cyclone One at 7 am was located near 22.3 N 86.6 W, about 125 miles N of Cozumel Mexico, or about 405 miles northwest of Grand Cayman. The system is moving northeast at 6 mph with max sustained winds of 40 mph.

If the center of the system becomes more defined it may develop into a Tropical Storm today. A Tropical Storm warning has been issued for western Cuba. There is no Tropical Storm warning expected for the Cayman Islands.

The system is forecasted to continue northeast across the eastern Gulf of Mexico reaching southern Florida by Saturday afternoon and into the western Atlantic Ocean by Monday morning.
