The People’s Progressive Movement (PPM) is pleased to announce Mr Alva Suckoo, a highly experienced and respected community leader as our candidate for Newlands in the upcoming 2025 general elections. Suckoo is a former member of parliament for both Newlands and Bodden Town and has served as councillor to the Minister in Home and Community Affairs, Health, Sports, Youth and Culture as well as councillor for e-government. Mr. Suckoo has a proven track record as a successful businessman, a technology expert and a legal scholar. He played a key role in spearheading critical infrastructure projects in Cayman, championed key constitutional reforms and led impactful youth mentorship and development programmes. His deep-rooted connection with the community makes him a strong and capable candidate to bring meaningful change.

“The challenges facing our islands today—rising costs of living, infrastructure needs, preparing our education system for future demands, creating better opportunities for Caymanians, and fostering safe, thriving communities—require more than individual effort. They demand the coordinated action of a strong, unified team,” said Suckoo. “After careful consideration, I am convinced that the PPM’s strong track record, combined with my own dedication to service makes it the only credible choice for delivering the progress Caymanians deserve.”
