The registration for students enrolling in, or transferring to Government schools for the 2020/2021 school year will open on Monday, 27 April 2020 and will close on Friday, 26 June 2020.
Registration for Government Reception is open for qualifying children aged 4 years 0 months before 1 September 2020. That means a child born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 is eligible for reception, and that he/she must have already turned 4 prior to 1 September 2020.
Registration for Year 1 in Government schools is open for qualifying children aged 5 years 0 months before 1 September 2020 in all primary schools. That means a child born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 is eligible for Year 1, and that he/she must have already turned 5 prior to 1 September 2020.
Registration for older students transferring internally, re-entering or entering for the first time into the Government school system, should be completed by the 26 June 2020 deadline in order for the child to be eligible to attend school at the start of the school year.
Due to circumstances of COVID-19, school registration will take place online. The online registration form will be available by Monday 27 April 2020, and will be found on the Department of Education Services (DES) registration web page - https://schools.edu.ky/Pages/School-Registration.aspx.
Only applications received through the online form will be accepted. Additionally, children registering after 26 June 2020, cannot be guaranteed a space at their zoned catchment school.
