Just before 4:15 PM, 6 March, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup was trapped in the vehicle and officers from the CIFS attended the scene and extricated the man, who was immediately transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by EMS.
The driver of the dump truck was also taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital by a private vehicle.
One of the drivers is believed to have life-threatening injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit and investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this collision to call the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254 or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
