A press release issued today from the U.S. Embassy in Kingston Jamaica says students in the Cayman Islands seeking to pursue studies in the United States in the upcoming fall semester should lock in a student visa appointment at their earliest convenience while appointments are still available.
The release says the U.S. Embassy in Jamaica currently has a sizable block of student visa appointments available during the second half of July 2022 and throughout the month of August 2022.
To secure an appointment, students must complete and electronically submit a student visa application form and pay the visa fee. Prior to applying, students must register with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), pay the SEVIS fee, and obtain an I-20 from their school.
For additional information, students can visit the appointment service website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/niv/information/niv, or contact the call center at 876-656-8535 or 876-630-2040, Mondays through Fridays, from 9AM to 5PM.
