Persons 50+ Now Eligible for COVID-19 Booster Shots
The COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic has opened its next phase of booster shots for those aged 50 and over beginning Tuesday 19 October.
“We are pleased with the rollout of the booster programme to date and now extend the opportunity for persons aged fifty and above to enhance their immunity against COVID-19. As we contend with community transmission here in the Cayman Islands, we encourage all who are eligible for vaccination to come forward and protect themselves”, states Medical Officer of Health Dr. Samuel Williams-Rodriguez.
The clinically vulnerable remain eligible to receive boosters throughout all phases of the programme. Persons wishing to receive their first or second dose are free to attend the clinic at any time.
