Traffic Collision Involving Pedestrian on Shedden Road

Shortly after 8:00PM, 31 August, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Shedden Road involving a pedestrian. It was reported that the pedestrian was crossing the road near the Edward Street intersection, when she was struck by a vehicle described as a green SUV, which was travelling west. The vehicle then turned on to Edward Street and left the scene.

Emergency services attended the location and the victim was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital via ambulance to be treated for serious injuries. She remains in critical but stable condition.

The matter is currently under investigation by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit. Anyone who may have seen the incident or have any information on the vehicle involved is asked to contact the TRPU at 649-6254.
