UPDATE: Two Men Arrested in Relation to West Bay Murder, 28 April
As part of the RCIPS’ ongoing investigations into recent violent crime, including armed robberies and murder, two of the main suspects in the investigation have been arrested this afternoon, 28 April, following a high speed pursuit and interception by the Firearms Response Unit in North Side. A dark-coloured Audi motorcar, which is a vehicle of interest in the investigations, was also recovered during the operation.
The men, age 30 of George Town and 31 of Bodden Town, remain in custody as investigations continue.

Police Investigate Murder of Man in West Bay, 28 April
Shortly after 1:30AM, this morning, Wednesday 28 April, police and emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a shooting incident in an isolated area of the beach off old West Bay Road, west of the Yacht Club roundabout.
After arriving on scene police located a male lying unresponsive on the ground with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
Emergency services attended the location and the man was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by the doctor on duty.
The scene has been cordoned off and police are investigating the incident. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene.
The victim has been identified as 21 year old, Cain Demetree Thomas, of George Town. The RCIPS expresses condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
