Representatives of Verdant Isle Port Partners are in Grand Cayman this week to meet with the Cayman Islands Government, tour operators and other tourism partners, the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, Cayman Islands Tourism Association and members of Cayman’s media.
The representatives which include Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean; David Candib, Vice President Development and Operations of Carnival Corporation; Barry Loudermilk, Director, Business Development of Orian Marine Group; and Richard Noel, General Manager of McAlpine Limited, will also meet with other key stakeholders such as Cruise Port Referendum Cayman, National Trust for the Cayman Islands, and Protect Our Future Cayman.
The meetings are the first in a series of planned stakeholder meetings being conducted by Verdant Isle over the coming months, which will also include an open town hall meeting.
Speaking on behalf of Verdant Isle Port Partners, Michael Bayley said the meetings were to share information about the cruise berthing and cargo enhancement project and to listen to stakeholder needs and concerns.
“We are committed to being a proactive, approachable and positive community partner, emphasising stakeholder relationships based on transparency and authenticity,” he said.
