Water-Related Death on West Bay Road
Just before 3:25PM Wednesday, 19 July, police and other emergency services were dispatched to the West Bay Road where it was reported that a 55-year-old-man, who is a visitor to the Cayman Islands, was pulled from the water after showing signs of distress. After being brought to shore, a civilian at the location immediately began doing CPR which was taken over by officers from the CIFS. The man was later transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was being treated by the medical staff, however, after two days of treatment, he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor on today, 21 July.
